Local hands.
Careful work.

I'm a carpenter and woodworker doing handyman jobs while I work on becoming licensed by CSLB. Every job gets measured twice, fit before it's fastened, and finished right — not just finished fast.

I am not licensed by CSLB, but I am currently working toward becoming licensed.

Why Work With Me

Why people trust the work I do.

I Notice the Small Stuff

A door that doesn't quite close right, a wall that's not quite straight — I notice, and I fix it.

I Take My Time to Get It Right

I'd rather take a few extra minutes than leave you with something that breaks again in a month.

I Catch Problems Early

Most expensive repairs start out small. I look for trouble before it turns into a bigger, costlier fix.

One of the craftsmen I admire illustrated this with the example of over-stretching a spring:

“You can try and bend it back and you can get it close, but you can never get that spring back to where it originally was.”

— Eric Hollenbeck, Blue Ox Millworks

That's why I take my time. Fixing a mistake after the fact almost never works as well as getting it right from the start.

My Background

Years of hands-on
experience.

I don't have my contractor's license yet — I'm working on it. But I've spent years working for licensed contractors, most recently as the on-site lead running big jobs like home additions, large decks, and full remodels. I also helped fix homes that had work done without the right permits, reframing them so they'd pass code. All of that shapes how I handle even the smallest handyman job today.
